Multiple object tracking: A literature review

Multiple Object Tracking (MOT) has gained increasing attention due to its academic and commercial potential. Although different approaches have been proposed tackle this problem, it still remains challenging factors like abrupt appearance changes severe object occlusions. In work, we contribute the first comprehensive most recent review on problem. We inspect advances in various aspects propose some interesting directions for future research. To best of our knowledge, there not any extensive topic community. endeavor provide a thorough development problem decades. The main contributions are fourfold: 1) Key an MOT system, including formulation, categorization, key principles, evaluation discussed; 2) Instead enumerating individual works, discuss existing according aspects, each which methods divided into groups group is discussed detail drawbacks; 3) examine experiments publications summarize results popular datasets quantitative comparisons.
